Wordstock Sudbury Literary Festival is back from November 1 to 3, 2019!

This year, we’ll be welcoming a plethora of interesting, thought-provoking, and exciting literary talent. From novelists like Monique Gray Smith (Tilly and the Crazy Eights) and Joshua Whitehead (Jonny Appleseed) to poets such as Doyali Islam (heft) and Kim Fahner (These Wings) and Slam artists Tanya Neumeyer and Britta Badour. And that’s not all! We’ve already announced more than a dozen of our guests and there are still more announcements to come!

On top of unveil part of our inspiring lineup of guests, we also announced that this year’s festival will be held in a new location. Our festival is expanding and needed more space. We’re overjoyed to announce that the 6th Edition of Wordstock Sudbury will be held at the Holiday Inn Sudbury (1696 Regent St.)

And that’s not all! The #YouthWords Writing Contest, sponsored by The Sudbury Star, has returned! This year, we’re asking local high school students to write poetry and short stories about the power of our voices to inspire action and hope. Students have until October 20th to submit their works for the chance to win cash prizes and publication in The Sudbury Star. For more information on the contest, you can click the link above!
